A prominent industrialist and former Chairman of the Asaba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ASACCIMA), Mr. Uju Udeme, has congratulated Dr. Peter Mrakpor, SAN, following his emergence as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 Delta State gubernatorial election.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Friday, Udeme described Mrakpor’s emergence as a “well-deserved victory” that reflects the confidence and trust the leadership and delegates of the PDP have reposed in him.
The renowned businessman praised the former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Delta State for his years of dedicated public service, legal excellence, and commitment to the development of the state.
According to Udeme, Mrakpor possesses the experience, competence, and leadership qualities required to consolidate on the achievements already recorded in Delta State and move the state to greater heights.
“Your emergence as the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party is a testament to your hard work, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the progress of Delta State,” Udeme stated.
He further noted that Mrakpor’s political experience and administrative capacity place him in a strong position to provide purposeful leadership capable of addressing the aspirations of the people across the three senatorial districts of the state.
Udeme also expressed optimism that the PDP candidate would run an issue-based campaign focused on economic growth, industrial development, youth empowerment, infrastructural advancement, and sustainable governance.
The former ASACCIMA chairman urged party faithful and supporters across Delta State to remain united and committed ahead of the 2027 governorship election, stressing that unity within the PDP would be critical to securing victory at the polls.
He called on Deltans to support leaders with proven track records, vision, and the capacity to sustain peace and development in the state.
Political observers say the endorsement from influential stakeholders such as Udeme may further strengthen Mrakpor’s growing support base within political and business circles in Delta State as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually gather momentum.
