NOL24 MEDIA CATHEDRAL | COMMUNITY OPINION 120 Reasons vs 120 Questions: Why Delta North Must Start The Conversation Now
By NOL24 Editorial

Delta North is talking again.
Last week, the Integrity Group of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, led by Comrade (Dr) Martin Nwachukwu Bolum, rolled out what they call “120 Reasons” why former Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, should return to the Senate in 2027.
Hours later, Team Ochei replied. Not with 120 reasons of their own. But with 120 questions.
Delta North is exactly why this should be the beginning of the conversation. Not the end.
POSITION 1:
THE CASE FOR – “EXPERIENCE AND TRACK RECORD”
According to the Integrity Group
The Integrity Group says this is only “a selection from thousands of legacies.” Their argument rests on 3 pillars:
1. Experience That Counts:
Senator 2011-2015. Governor 2015-2023. VP Candidate 2023.
Their position:
A man who has sat in both the Red Chamber and Government House “knows how Abuja and Asaba work” and can bring more federal presence to Delta North.
2. Projects and Policies
From their release, they highlight:
Economy:
DIDA, UTM Floating LNG equity, Kwale Industrial Park PPP, MSME credit access
Agriculture:
Support for cassava, oil palm, rice milling, aquaculture, fertilizer and seedlings to cooperatives
Infrastructure:
Solar street lighting in Agbor, roads, flyovers, Asaba Airport upgrade
Governance:
Regular payment of salaries and pensions, tax harmonization, revenue database
Sports & Security:
Hosted and won the 21st National Sports Festival 2022, Super Eagles matches in Asaba, Operation Delta Hawk
Core Message:
“Judge his record and make an informed judgement.”
POSITION 2: THE CASE AGAINST – “ACCOUNTABILITY AND NEW DIRECTION”
According to Team Ochei, via Dr Austin Edemodu
Team Ochei did not list counter-projects. They asked counter-questions.
1. Follow The Money
“Length is not evidence of performance.” They are asking for figures:
Total revenue 2015-2023? IGR? Borrowings? 13% Derivation? DESOPADEC funds? Federal refunds? Where was it spent? What liabilities were left behind?
2. Value For Money
A road is not an achievement until we ask: What did it cost? What was the quality? Is it still good today?
Empowerment is not tricycles and sewing machines counted. It is: How many people became economically independent?
3. Political Entitlement
“Delta North is not a family political estate.”
After 8 years as Governor, 4 years as Senator, and a VP run, Team Ochei asks: Must the political future of an entire senatorial district revolve around one man?
“Experience is an asset. But when experience becomes an argument for perpetual power, democracy must push back.”
The Core Message: “The old order has had its opportunities. 2027 should be a new direction.”
WHY THIS MUST BE THE BEGINNING, NOT THE END
This exchange is evocative. It touches everything Delta North cares about: money, roads, jobs, pride, and power.
But if we stop here, we lose.
If the Integrity Group only lists, and Team Ochei only questions, and we only shout on WhatsApp, then 2027 will be decided by noise, not by facts.
NOL24 Media Cathedral believes this moment should begin 3 things:
1. A FACT-BASED CONVERSATION
Let’s move from bullet points to books.
Publish the revenue. Publish the debt. Publish the project list. Publish the distribution.
Let Agbor, Asaba, Kwale, Obiaruku, and Idumuje-Ugboko see the data and decide.
2. A COMMUNITY AUDIT
“120 Reasons” should become “120 Community Visits.”
Did that solar light in Agbor work? Did that fertilizer reach the farmer in Ndokwa? Did NSF 2022 money stay in Asaba?
The people are the auditors.
3. A NEW STANDARD FOR 2027
This Senate race should not be about who can compile the longest list.
It should be about: Who can answer the hardest questions?
Who has a plan for debt? For youth jobs? For Anioma State? For resource control?
THE CATHEDRAL QUESTION TO YOU
NOL24 Media Cathedral is not here to endorse. We are here to host.
So we ask Delta North:
1. Of the projects listed, which one changed your life?
2. Of the questions asked, which one must be answered first?
3. For 2027, do you want Experience, or do you want Accountability, or do you want both?
This is not Integrity Group vs Team Ochei.
This is Delta North vs the future.
No insults. No propaganda. Just issues.
Over the next 90 days, NOL24 will:
1. Invite both sides for a live Cathedral Debate
2. Take the questions to town halls across Delta North
3. Publish a Fact-Check series on 5 key claims from both sides
Send your question for Dr Okowa or for Victor Ochei to WhatsApp – 09020811111.
The best 20 questions will be asked live.
Because 120 reasons deserve 120 answers. And Delta North deserves both.

Let’s start the conversation properly.
