Delta APC Elects New State Working Committee at Asaba Congres

ASABA, Nigeria — Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State on Tuesday elected a new State Working Committee during a congress held in Asaba, the state capital.

The exercise took place at the Cenotaph along High Court Road and was attended by party faithful and stakeholders from across the state.

Chief Solomon Arenyeka emerged as Chairman of the new executive committee, which will steer the affairs of the party in Delta State. Elder Moses Iduh was elected Deputy Chairman, while Chief Efe Uko clinched the position of State Secretary. Dr. Timothy Umukoro was elected Assistant State Secretary.

Other members of the State Working Committee include Chief Paulinus Akpeki as State Zonal Vice Chairman I and Engr. Dan Ossai as State Zonal Vice Chairman II. Barr. Chris Nijokwuemeni was elected State Legal Adviser, with Barr. David Akporokiamu Esiekpe serving as Assistant Legal Adviser.


Anslem Onianwa emerged as State Treasurer, while Mrs. Elizabeth Kelechi Ogba was elected State Financial Secretary. Mr. William Deniran will serve as Assistant Financial Secretary. William Egheri was elected State Organizing Secretary, alongside Emman Egbabor as Assistant Organizing Secretary.

Hon. Felix Erhimedafe will serve as State Publicity Secretary, with Valentine Onojegho Esq. as State Welfare Secretary and Chief Uyouyou Edhekpo as Assistant Welfare Secretary.
Chief Greg Onah was elected State Auditor, with Paul Azorbor Amabiri as Assistant Auditor. Comr. Henry Emeli emerged as State Woman Leader, assisted by Mrs. Ifeyinwa Vivian Sobotie.

Tuoyo Memuduaghan, popularly known as Mama T of Warri, was elected State Youth Leader, while Christopher Agali will serve as Assistant Youth Leader. Miss Lucky Oghenegweke was elected State Special (Physically Challenged) Leader.


The congress also produced Ogheneme Ochuko Richard, Jiminyevwe Digbame Ubu, and Samuel Orbit Ehianuta as State Senatorial Youth Leaders I, II and III respectively. Mr. Dennis Alari, Mrs. Esther Okamonu Oghareki, and Mrs. Onyeisi Ochei were elected as State Senatorial Women Leaders I, II and III respectively.
The ex-officio members elected include Avberhoba Onome Rita, Chief Simon Asite, Fred Mordi, Chief (Mrs.) Victory Igbuwe and Terry Sukore.

Party officials described the congress as peaceful and orderly, expressing optimism that the newly elected executive would strengthen the party’s structure and reposition it ahead of future political engagements in Delta State.
